We had a big thunderstorm last night here in Madison. Tornado sirens went off for real, instead of the usual testing that happens far too often. My friend posted this picture of what used to be his pier, where his boat had been tied up. Now the boat is down by his neighbor's....upside down.

dag! I;ve had some storms rip through the lakes I've been on and we've been close to loosing a boat or 2, but never have. Must have been something else.

Tornados suck...but growing up in Oklahoma I just kind of got used to them.

Likely was straight-line winds or what some meteorologist's call a microburst. Nonetheless, it sucks and hope nobody got hurt. I also hope insurance doesn't make it difficult to replace.

Wow. Heard it blow over last night, but as most storms do, it weakened once it got near Lake Mich. Some downed tree branches of the twig size, but nothing major near me.

Yeah, that's her in the blue. She was in the school where she worked and got scratched up a bit and concussed. Lost memory of the event but was told that she was out organizing the students into groups and calming them after it passed even though she doesn't remember that at all. She's doing perfectly fine today.
